Waist Length Hair Challenge!

In that case count me in! I have one big lock of hair that's a few inches shy of BSL everything else is either almost APL or past. Turns out my ends were fine it's just that airdrying causes them to feel different from the rest of my hair.

So what is everyone doing to reach this goal whenever they may reach it?

I'm going to try protective styling for the rest of the year. I never could find the hang of wearing my hair out. I wanna try rollersetting my hair but all the different kinds of rollers are intimidating that on top of finding what size is needed.

Good luck ladies! I have no desire to have waist length hair, natural or otherwise, but you ladies go right a head! Keep us posted on your progress and have fun!

Thanks ladies! I would love to be back at waist length. My hair was a little past waist length before I went natural.

Hi, I need some of you guys to join me. All I need is 6 inches more lol by next year I should be there currently I trim every 3 months, deep condition twice a month, protein treatment when needed, i keep cornrows in for 2 weeks, grease the scalp and use a daily moisturizer and tuck the ends in a bun. I take supplements, get plenty of rest, drink lots of water. ^_^

I am in, sort of.

My longest layers were at mid-back length earlier this year... but the shortest were only APL, and I had a lot of knots from not trimming for a year. So, I'm not APL-BSL, layers are more even/less choppy. ^_^ Another 6 inches or so will put me at waist length.

But, I don't feel like putting forth any extra effort outside of the protective bun styles I wear. I'm basically just in maintenance mode and hoping my hair will reach waist length, but not stressing over it if I don't make that goal. I'm trying to focus on weight loss right now, I'm hoping the increase in healthy eating and exercise will give me a little hair growth boost.

We will be doing check ups every three months (include a length showing picture, stats about hair, current health etc and any change of regimen or lifestyle). You must join before Sept 12 which is when we will begin! Include a starting picture (showing current length)/link to starting picture, regimen,and rules.

Rules:

1. You MUST deep condition and do other necessary treatments
2. Protective styles ARE YOUR FRIENDS
3. Only check length once every three months or you might go crazy (been there done that lol)
4. Take supplements daily (they help)
5. Drink lots of water
6. Keep hair moisturized don't forget that scalp
7. Detangle with care, and trim those ends when needed!
8. Optional growth aid (growth oil) :P

Well the rules are pretty simple....nothing more than I do in my general hair care routine....I may still have my yarn braids in by September 12th but I will take them down sometime before I go back to school and I will post starting pictures....oh yeah and what is the end date? September 12th 2010?
