how long do you use your products? When do you switch it up? How do you know when its that time to let go.....

i think you're over thinking things : use things until they are no longer useful to you, change them when they no longer work.

Unless they actually do have a shelf life or expiration date then you can use them until they no longer work or until you just want to do something different.

Where does the shower come in?

I agree, if it ain't broke don't fix it. I've been using Qhem's products for years and still love em!!!

I use my products regularly and I will continue to use them unless they stop working on my hair. There only a couple of products that I watch for spoiling & expiration dates: first is my homemade glycerin mix (it normally last about 2 weeks), second is my homemade flax-seed gel mix, I keep it refrigerated while not in use and I throw it out after about week three if there is any remaining.
