We don't already have a thread like this do we?

My computer's on the fritz. It's so frustrating b/c it was working fine last night. When I came home, I found that the battery won't charge at all, the DVD drive isn't working and, now, the computer won't boot past the grey logo screen.

I've tried all the trouble-shooting tips online and I think that I'm going to have to take it to the shop. I'm afraid my motherboard is fried and I don't relish the thought of digging into my savings to pay for the repair or a new computer.

ETA: I was trying to get some sympathy from a friend & he said, "Don't worry about it. After May 21, it won't even matter." Heh.

Picked up three free games in the App store:

Catapult Mayem. My favourite even if it's socially incorrect. And if you want to hurt YT people without actually doing it, this might be for you... I like it because it's as easy as Angry Birds and it's easy to earn the money for upgrades.

Flying Hamster. Seems to be a combination of Angry birds (the story) and the classic arcade game Asteroid. Also easy to master, avoiding obstacles is another story.

Skateboard Rat. I'm going to need some practice to master it.

Yayy! My computer problems turned out to be something very minor. Here's hoping that I can get another couple years out of it.

Unfortunately, in anticipation of possibly having to get a new computer, I've been salivating over some of the newer, sleeker models available. I've determined that my next purchase is going to be a iMac with a ginormous screen for graphic design and photo editing work. Of course, that'll also necessitate that I put aside a few more $$$, for the full adobe creative suite. Sigh.

Yes! Once you get apps off iTunes you can transfer them on all your devices that are linked to your account!

I wonder what kind of controls are going to be in place with this. I can imagine that it might be problematic if there are multiple family members sharing one account.
