I trimmed off 2 inches...now what?
Hey loc buds. I have been concerned about my ends getting thin. So I got hopped up on YouTube videos and trimmed off a couple of inches to remove most of my gold tips (still got a few left). I tried to even out my locs but wasn't really successful. I chickened out of cutting so many inches and now I don't like these blunt ends (I miss the curly tips). So, I need advice on next steps. Is there a special treatment to keep these new ends healthy? Thanks and HVD!

No special treatment needed. Use good maintenance and you'll be fine.

I have only experienced fat ends problems through both my locking journeys. I sincerely thing it rests on how you care for your hair as well as your own unique texture. My last set was 7 years. I cut off fattened ends twice and they still fattened up on their own as the ends sealed. Take in the knowledge with YT but don't take it so personally. Your journey will be your own...

Blunt Ends
@4deeperjoy Hi.If you do not like your blunt ends avoid them the next time by cutting your ends at an angle. Or have them cut professionally letting them know you do not want blunt ends. Now you can brush those blunt ends or try to pic them loose then allow them to loc on their own again. It may b a slow process but I can visualize it working. Also cutting on an angle can prevent unraveling after a new trim. Hope this helps. Peace and Blessings.

Re: I trimmed off 2 inches...now what?
Funny that I just cut my locs again...4 inches this time. I guess every other February is my trimming anniversary.
