Life. One of my relatives has been dealing with illnesses the last 2 years....and as of recently, things have gotten much worse... We're doing the best we can to get help...

Updates:
1. It's been 15 months since my 3rd big chop
2. My hair can get into a ponytail; it's layered, about shoulder length
3. I am now able to install invisible roots twist extensions in the back of my own head as well as the front
4. I have more grays
5. Had a scare with my edges (they're still intact)
6. I'll be 30 next month


Goal: Get back to my channel this spring or summer.
I'm still active on Instagram.

This time around, now that my third bc is growing out, I'd like to do new things. I am considering hair color and /or a possible loc journey. I have yet to get to waistlength, so I'll be striving for that as well.

Installed yarn braids on Saturday and it's my look until at least June (maybe July). I made them bra-strap length rather than waist length. The latter can make them a little unwieldy at times. I'm enjoying where they're at. I'm also traveling to Vegas again in a couple of weeks (performing again as a soloist and for dance training), so it'll make packing and hotel life easier. I'll trim in April before the next install. The fun part is that I can wear my fancy hair sticks again!

I've worn my hair damp and in some variation of a wash n' go to every ladies only/hijab-less special occasion I've been to. Tonight's bridal shower is the first time I'll be wearing stretched dry hair... it's gonna be interesting. If these bantu knots don't work out, worst case scenario I get to the venue, find the bathroom and stick my head under the tap.

Took my braids out on the 12th. Tried to get my hair shaped, but he just tapered the edges. I'll just have to cut it myself. Again. As usual. Been sporting a fro the past two weeks and loving it (again). Did a photo shoot for my costume designer and had a grand old time. Here's ONE photo (with photographer's credit) because the others are for the website and I don't want to share those in too many places before they go live.

I was just coming in here to post that it's been two months since my last haircut and I'm thinking about...not getting another haircut.

Truth...I get bored way too easily...

That said, I told myself that the next time I grow my hair out I'm going to do it under extensions. I still need a couple of inches in the back before I feel comfortable getting some...so summer, maybe?

I've already gotten lazy with the natural hair bullet journal I was supposed to be using...after only 2 months.

I've been wearing buns (mainly) and twistouts for the past 4 months. I am READY for a new look. I don't need to see my hair for 4 + months lol. Marley twists, here I come! I already know my length retention is going to be on point this year!
