That "4C" referes to the type of hair that you have according to Andre Walker's Hair Classification system. I'm a "3B". Here's a link if you want to know more:

^^ great list - you did alot of work there!
if i explain "dusting" maybe you can get it down to 5 words or less?

dusting is usually referring to the cutting of the hair but to a much lesser degree than a trim - usually less than a 1/2 inch. some folks dust routinely to keep split ends at bay.

Search & Destroy: pulling strands of hair so you can see the ends and snipping only the split ends.

both terms usually refer to straighten.ed or cfc hair but i don't see why nappys can't use them.

i didn't know that had a name thanks i do that when im bored at work or in front of the computer the screen lite is great for this
