Aight, so I know you have to bud before you loc...and I thought I'd gone past that point as I remember having buds srping up with the little balls at the ends of my locs. Yet, I noticed lately that all my locs (or at least a large majority of them) have 'buds' all throughout the loc - starting right after the root/new growth and down to the tip, I have little buds in each loc. My locs are about 16 months old and I know that everyone's hair locs at a different rate, and my hair has responded very well to the locing process, but....is it normal for an entire loc to be a bunch of buds? Has anyone else experienced this? I'm sure that tehy will disappear in time, but I'd just like to know if I'm the only one that this has happened to and if anyone can give a reason to why a whole loc will bud versus just only in the middle or at the end like I've heard form others. Thanks! ^_^

Yes, I think that is normal. If you want, palmrolling should help smooth them out. I don't think anyone can answer "why" its just a part of the locing process.

Yes, this has happened to my locs and still is. I'm 9 months in and I love seeing the buds all up and down my locs.

ok, thanks. I can't keep my hands off of them, I just love how they feel. It's nice to know I'm not the only one who's locs are like this.

Wow, I didn't know that the whole loc could bud. I thought is was just certain parts of the loc. I learn something new everyday!!!
