If you suffer from dandruff and flaky scalp, this shampoo recipe excellent for rebalancing the scalp and clearing up persistent flaking. It is also a great loc shampoo. As always, follow up any shampoo with a scalp conditioner or herbal riinse, unless you have locs, then you can use a rinse, but not a creamy conditioner.

1 tablespoon (15ml) Chamomile Flowers
1 tablespoon (15ml) Peppermint Leaves
1 tablespoon (15ml) Thyme
1 tablespoon (15ml) Rosemary
1/4 cup (60ml) Liquid Castile Soap
1/4 cup (60ml) Aloe Vera Gel
2 tablespoon (30ml) Apple Cider Vinegar
½ tablespoon (7ml) Jojoba Oil
½ tablespoon (7ml) Kukui Nut Oil

METHOD
Boil the water in a pan on the stove, reduce heat.
Mix your herbs together and add to the water.
Simmer the herb water for 20 to 25 minutes, or longer if on lower heat. Reduce to half.
Strain the infused herb water by pouring it into another container through a strainer or cotton/muslin sheet and let it cool down to room temperature.
