Shea Twist Butter

This rich and creamy butter can be used to moisturize twists, braids and coils and smooth your ends. You can make it lighter by using an electric mixer to whip the butter. This recipe is really realy easy and adds a long lasting set for yout twists.

MAIN INGREDIENTS

1 handful shea butter unrefined 
1 handful palm oil 
1 tablespoon almond oil (or any vegetable liquid oil) 3 tsp coconut oil (optional) 
1 tsp almond extract (for fragance) 

BLENDING INGREDIENTS

1 teaspoon water 
1 teaspoon vegetable glycerine 
1 teaspoon honey
1 teaspoon aloe vera gel
Your favorite natural preservative
(You can use 10 drops of rosemary EO as a preservative)

Sterilized glass jar for storage.

METHOD

Gently heat the main ingredients until melted and pour into the glass jar. Or for a fluffier mixture, use a mixer to whip up the shea before it is fully melted. Learn how to whip shea butter Whipped Shea Butter

Mix the blending ingredients into the jar with the other mixture in the jar, close it and shake untill cold and thick. Gives a scented creamy textured butter which works great for single twists
