For newbies on the natural journey, here’s the deal. There is a lot of misinformation around about natural hair care, what products to use and what it does and doesn’t do. Whether you are thinking a bout going natural or just starting your transition, it's important to learn all you can about your hair. I'm dropping some knowledge on a few points.

We Have a New Special Area for Transitioners

We have a new area specifically for transitioners who need adivce and help with problems during their journey. Understand that transitioning out of a relaxer or a straightening situation involves transitioning your mind as well as your hair. Sometimes you may doubt your decision or have difficulty choosing products and styling with two textures.

If you are not sure if you are ready to transition, want to talk about it, or have some concerns you need to talk about, this is the place to ask. There are lots of methods, products to try and styles to explore.

Don't be afraid to ask for support or help in making a decision. A question asked in this new area will get you a response within hours, from someone who can really help.

Join our new area for transitioners and get the help and support you need. No question is stupid and now problem is ignored. This is not Facebook and there is no need to be scared someone is going to be rude and judgemental. We are here to support you when you need it.

Natural Hair - Maximum Length Simplified

We all have natural hair goals, and right up there at the top of what I hear from naturals is that they want LONG HAIR. Let's talk about that because it's important. Long hair should not be your goal because instead, maximum length should be, even though that may not be what you consider "long hair."

Locking in Moisture for Natural Hair

The best thing you can do for your natural hair is to keep it moisturized. Understanding how well your hair holds moisture and how it treats products is the key to making sure your hair stays soft and hydrated all day. We outline the best moisturizing tips for all hair textures.

Oh remember the outcry when JK Rowling cast Black actress Noma Dumezweni as Hermione in “The Cursed Child” and she famously and accurately said “Idiots gonna idiot” when asked about the backlash against her? Well it seems to have happened again with the casting of Halle Bailey as The Little Mermaid. And it's ridiculous.
