I only use a clarifying shampoo. I recently used herbal essence's clarifying shampoo. Now I am using suave. A clarifying shampoo removes build up unlike a regualr shampoo. I use it once a week and it works well for me because I use cones and grease.

^^^ No it did not dry my hair out. It is called defunktify. I am currently using the suave clarifying shampoo but the defunktify works better IMO.

Regular shampoos add oils with the sulfates for "moisture" while clarifying shampoo are str8 cleaning agents. I use the Suave clarifying whenever I use somethin unnatural and it doesn't dry my hair out per se...but I do notice a HUGE difference in softness after deep conditioning. My shampoo bars keep my hair softer.
