Co-washing? My take.
Co-washing. No Poo. No Shampoo Method. It comes as many names but basically means washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo (with or without adding things like baking soda to the mix). I have used it on and off over the years and provide a mixed review on my results.

Short Natural Hair. Care!

Chronicle of the Short Natural
My hair became badly damaged due to the effects of a general anesthetic during surgery on July 4th to repair my badly broken arm. It started slowly, about 3 weeks after the surgery. I had been following my No-Comb method and started noticing a lot of shedding whenever I detangled. At first I thought this shedding was due to me not combing my hair as often because of my broken arm which caused the shed hair to build up. But as the days turned into weeks, I noticed my hair getting shorter and shorter.
